One Man. Bare Stage. His Story
If Kafka and Chaplin had met and decided to work together they might well have written The Nothing Show. As such a fruitful meeting never took place, Stewart Wright and Craig Edwards have created it instead.
The clown our hero is on an adventure to escape the hamster wheel of routine daily life and discover a brave new world. Always engaging and by turns hilarious, whimsical and shocking. The Nothing Show is a tour de force of contemporary clowning. Dedicated to the contemplation and celebration of everyday life, this show is for anyone who would prefer to stay in bed, thinks call centres are the devils work and finds the daily rush to beat the clock a complete turn-off. With The Nothing Show Stewart Wright and Craig Edwards have created a vivid and rich world of possibilities through nothing more than the performers skill and the audiences imagination.
Beautifully executed, The Nothing Show is a delightful piece that harks back to the days of silent film and even further to traditional clowning.....at times Norman Wisdom and often pure Stan Laural.
Bristol Evening Post
I cant think of another show that I have seen that has been stripped back to that extent and has been so rich in impact.
Ali Robertson - Artistic Director Tobacco Factory
This show can be accompanied by a workshop for young people. Details of which can be found here.

THE HOT AIR BABOONS
John Nicholson, Angus Barr, Frances Merriman, Becky Illsley,
Paul Mundell, Stewart Wright and special guests
The Hot Air Baboons are a new and exciting collective of stage, film, radio and TV comedy performers. As their starting point they have turned their attention to creating a night of improvised entertainment.
Comedy impro troupe The Hot Air Baboons lived up to their name by monkeying about and causing fits of the vapours amongst their audience... almost everything they tried out came off and left us wanting more.

Executive Producer: Russell Stopford
A multi-screen film.
A celebration of the spaces-between-the-places and of Britain's steadily growing exurbia, Omnibus intends to cherish the mundane whilst seeking out the positives and profounds which lie buried beneath the seemingly banal.
At the moment we are in the process of securing funds to enable further R&D time on this project. Discussions are currently underway with organisations including Bristol Old Vic, Caveman Films and South West Screen all of whom have expressed interest in supporting the project.
We are very excited that Russell Stopford has come on board as Executive Producer on this project. Russell has had an extensive career in digital media and has worked as a producer, director and designer for most of the UK terrestrial broadcasters and a large selection of new media companies. He was Creative Director of the BAFTA winning Four Docs (for Channel Four) and went on to produce a multi-screen film called Identity Of The Soul which starred Vanessa Redgrave and Mahmoud Darwish.

6 x 15min episodes BBC Radio 4
A late night comedy drama about two hapless, likeable Australians who came over to London in the 90's on the great Aussie Pilgrimage. They played the scene, built up impressive sofa surfing portfolios, then split and haven't seen each other until now. But things have changed - landlords are stricter, housemates more serious, and it's harder than ever to chill over a couple of lattes, one with cinnamon, one soya.
Bright new comedy, which could well expand into half hours because it's so well written, thought out and acted.
The Daily Telegraph
This could be the first example of post-millennial credit crunch expatriate comedy, no small achievement....It's not Flight of the Conchords, it's Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads. And none the worse for that.
This Radio 4 comedy has a gentle charm.
