Of Spice and Men

It was the chance to eavesdrop in on the normally private conversations of these three friends that our audience found 'addictive listening'.

Of Spice and Men is a round the table podcast based on the premise that Stew, Tom and Adz meet once a month at an Indian Restaurant. They use the ritual of chatting over our national dish to help them navigate the perils of midlife, offering each other friendship, counsel, fun and a sprinkling of conflict to spice things up along the way. Conspicuous in their white middle aged maleness they‘re not convinced their ramblings is what the world needs right now. There is however something engaging about their enduring friendship and emotional openness. With a recovery, a nervous breakdown and a gambling habit as feathers in their caps, they’re now cracking on with the easy bit of settling down and raising families.

At once entertainment and conversation, this podcast sheds light on male friendship. Many listeners have been struck by the openness and honesty of these conversations as well as their entertainment value. They love how the podcast lifts the stone on this friensdship ecosystem as they enjoy access all areas to what would ususally be for their ears only.

It is warm and honest listening in the podcast space and has gained a very loyal following.
